09. Verdict

The SF-800P14XE is a well-built PSU and you can tell that by the first moment you unpack it. We particularly liked the protection pads used at the modular connectors. During operation, the PSU was very quiet even at full system load, and looked good in our case thanks to the LED fan.
The unit is a rock-solid power supply thad achieved very good performance and kept our system stable during our tests. It stayed moderately warm in touch after hours of operation, so heat will not be a problem.
Costing around 180euros in Europe, the Golden Green belongs to the mid-to-expensive price category, but we can surely say that it is totally worth the money, as a powerful and reliable PSU is a year-lasting investment that can be used not only in one PC system. It is still cheaper than many other 80 Plus Gold certificated PSU's.
