A Closer Look – The Package

A Closer Look – The Headset
The Connectland CM-561 is well made and characterised by a nice black finish. The inner part of the earcuffs is orange which is a nice touch. The material used for the earcuffs is very soft, so that the user will not be tired if the headset is used for a long period of time. On the earcuffs we find Connectland’s logo and a nice nickel finish on the top, which is classy. At the top of the headset we find a protective coat of foam, used for fitting softly on the users skull.
Above we see a picture of the connection cables. The common 3.5” mm standard is used, so installation is very easy. There is also a control unit which has two knobs, a volume and a mic volume control. There is also the hole in which the detachable microphone can be plugged in. The detachable mic is nicely made, long enough and its rotation can be freely attached. The headphones’ arm length is adjustable and long enough to fit any user.
Performance and Verdict
Costing around 15 euros in Europe, the Connectland CM-561 is a quite affordable headset. We tested the headset while gaming, listening to music and video chatting. In terms of comfort, the headset was lightweight and fitted perfectly on our head, while the soft foam earcuffs covered our ears without tiring. The build quality is also solid. It is a plus that even after using the headset for some time, we did not feel tired at all. The sound was crisp, clear and there was no distortion, even at the highest volume setting. The bass was deep and fulfilling. While gaming, using the headset was an enjoyable experience. It is true that there are better headsets in the market, but in this price range we doubt if you will find something noticeably better. Generally we were very satisfied by the sound quality the headset offers, as it managed to achive crystal clear sound at all sound frequencies.
(+) Sound quality
(+) Detachable mic
(+) Great Value
(+) Solid build quality
Thus, we give the Connectland CM-561 a rating of 9.0/10 and our Value For Money Award.
