The The Avantree Pluto Air is made of high-quality plastic and is available in various colour combinations. At the sides of the speaker we can find two connectors. One is for charging the speaker via the supplied USB cable and the other is for connecting the speaker via 3.5mm jack cable.
The top part is of black color and it is mainly covered by the mesh grill used for the speaker. At the bottom side there is a handy selector for wired or wireless operating modes, with the off button being the middle position of the slider.
Installation, Performance and Verdict
We tried to pair the The Avantree Pluto Air wirelessly with our Samsung Galaxy Note 2 via bluetooth, so we moved the slider to the bluetooth position. The blue led on the speaker started blinking, indicating that it was on standby mode for incoming bluetooth connection. Our phone found and paired with the speaker very quickly. Next thing we did of course, was to open the stock music player and begin song playback. We were surprised by the sound quality that this little thing can produce. The bass was deep and precise and the maximum volume setting, always adjusted by the phone wirelessly, surpassed our expectations. All our tunes sounded crisp and above acceptable standards.
Avantree claims that the battery can last for 7-8 hours of continuous playback and they are not mistaken; 7 hours and 10 minutes on continuous playback passed after the battery died.
Costing around 45.00€ across Europe, we can surely say that this little gadget is surely worth the money and will definitely be essential to you if you fancy listening to music from your mobile phone or portable mp3 player.
